23/06/2025 – 📢 New Publication: Outcome Measures in Cosmetic Stature Lengthening

We’re pleased to share that our latest study, “Measuring more than just centimeters: a scoping review of outcome measures in cosmetic stature lengthening,” has been published in the Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research.

The study highlights how this growing field heavily focuses on clinical outcomes like length gained — yet even these are inconsistently reported. More critically, when patient-reported outcomes (PROs) are included, they are often measured using tools that are not validated.

📌 Our key message:

We must measure what truly matters — using valid, reliable tools — and report outcomes consistently.

The RECONS initiative will continue addressing these gaps through the development of a robust Core Outcome Set for lower limb lengthening.
